Removing oil from fuel soaked wood

Make a thick pudding of cornstarch and pure isopropyl alcohol (normal rubbing alcohol is only 70% alcohol and does not evaporate rapidly enough to be effective) and apply it to the affected wood.
The cornstarch will draw the oil which will mix with the the rapidly evaporating alcohol removing the worst of the fuel from the wood.
K2R dry cleaning solution (distributed by Ace hardware) is an even better  oil remover if your local hardware dealer stocks it.
